You have made time for Benjakitti, then the rain arrives. Keep the afternoon in Asoke and change its shape. Choose one comfortable indoor stop first; decide on the next one after you have seen what the weather does.
This is a small plan for a wet afternoon, with room for a meal, conversation or a booked treatment. It does not depend on the rain stopping at a particular hour.
Start where you can stay for a while
If you are arriving around the interchange, Terminal 21 Asok is a practical starting point for food and browsing. Its official contact page lists daily opening from 10:00 to 22:00. Check the hours of the particular business you want to visit.
If you are already on Soi 16, choose a nearby cafe rather than taking another journey just to get a coffee. Kuppa is one option to check. Order a meal if you are hungry and give yourself permission to stay put. Ask before settling in with a laptop or expecting to occupy a table all afternoon.
Give the afternoon one booked appointment
A rain day can be a useful moment for something you meant to make time for. At Bodytune Wellness on Soi 16, that might be a massage selected from the current menu. Book first, confirm the arrival time and leave room to get there without rushing through the rain.
If you are together, each person should choose their own treatment and confirm timing. There is no need to build a long wellness programme around the weather. One appointment and a meal make a complete afternoon.
If you want something else, check the actual programme
The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center has an events calendar. Look for something that interests you, then check whether it is open to the public, whether tickets or registration are required, and which entrance to use. A convention centre is not a guarantee that a suitable exhibition is on today.
Alternatively, stay near the interchange and browse indoors. You do not need to move somewhere else just because the itinerary has an empty space.
Plan the transfers, not just the stops
Soi 16, the park and the convention centre are separate places. This is not an entirely covered walking route. Save the entrance pins and arrange a short vehicle trip when the conditions make walking unpleasant. Allow for waiting time and traffic.
If the weather clears, you can decide whether to add a short park walk. Check the official park information and follow any closures or instructions on arrival. During heavy rain or a storm, let the indoor plan be the whole plan.
